ORLANDO, FLA. (April 12, 2016) – West Orange Country Club will be hosting summer golf camps for children 4 to 15 of all skill levels. Brendon Chase, Head Golf Professional, has been contracted to instruct his own comprehensive golf academy this summer.
“Brendon has been very successful in bringing younger families out to see our facilities and getting the younger generation involved in the game of golf,” said Nick Slattery, Managing Partner of West Orange Country Club.
Students are taught the basics of golf in a fun and exciting atmosphere. The daily itinerary includes instruction, swimming, and lunch. By the camp’s end students will understand safety, etiquette, full swings, chipping, pitching, putting, and pace of play.
Camps run on a weekly basis Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. from June to August. Students can enroll for one week or several. The cost is $200/week for members and $250/week for non-members.
June 27 – July 1
July 18 – July 22
August 8 – August 12
The camp launches at a great time for the club. “ I’ve gotten numerous phone calls from Industry friends and fellow Golf Course Managers that they’ve heard nothing but great things about our facilities and most especially the golf course,” said Slattery. The club is growing rapidly and improving daily. In March, the club hit 200 members which it contributes to it’s riveting new website, an interactive and updated Facebook page, and commercial aired on the Bright House networks in the local community.
The West Orange Country Club golf course is a Lloyd Clifton design built in 1967. Our challenging par 71 course is tree lined with several small ponds and a creek that winds through the property. Rebuilt in 2006 with Tift dwarf grass, the greens are smooth and undulating enough to test the best players in the area.
